Fall 2016 Beer Releases

This fall Milwaukee Brewing Company is releasing several brews that are a part of the Destination Local Series. We will be open the following Mondays from 4pm-7pm for people to come in, sip, sample and shop these new releases. The 750mL bottles will range between $10 and $15. There are no bottle limits and guests can purchase as much as they would like.

November 14th – Grand Madame Barleywine
There are two versions of this barleywine; brandy barrel aged and sherry barrel aged.

Our Sherry Aged Barleywine has rich grape aroma’s blend in harmony to a sweet malt backdrop accentuated with flavors of toffee, vanilla and plum finishing warm, dry and slightly tannic.

The Brandy Aged Barleywine has aromas of raisin, date and
fig give way to warm flavors of tobacco and molasses finishing with a sweet warm stickiness and a hint of toffee.

November 21st – Elf’s Lament
What started out as an experimental brew, this spiced Belgian Dubbel is available for the second year to the public. Rishi’s Cinnamon Plum tea enhances the natural dried fruit flavors that is provided by the Belgian yeast strain. The high gravity of this full bodied and malt driven brew makes it a perfect winter warmer.

December 5th – Louie’s Cherry Bounce XVI
A time honored tradition in Wisconsin is to take a small portion of the seasonal Door County cherry harvest, age the cherries in a jar of brandy until the winter and then share the whiskey soaked fruit at your favorite gathering. We love cherry bounce, so naturally we took our popular limited release Louie’s Resurrection recipe and aged it an extra two months in Copper & Kings oak brandy barrels stuffed with Door County tart cherries. The result is deep amber ale with rich stone fruit and brandy character. Hints of vanilla and tobacco compliment the tart cherry and toasted oak presence. A beautiful winter warmer that only gets better with age.

December 12th – Gin Barrel Aged O-Gii
Our unique Imperial Wit, O-Gii, infused with organic green tea and ginger gets a monster kick in the pants from aging in Rehorst Reserve Gin barrels from our friends at Great Lakes Distillery. These rare gin barrels with their rich botanicals of juniper, chamomile and orange compliment the already complex flavors in O-Gii. Hints of wood and vanilla round out the finish. Smooth, mellow and warming, this is a rare treat.

December 19th – Retail Hours
The brewery will be open again from 4-7pm for you to purchase your favorite brews, gifts and merchandise.
