20th Annual Midwinter Brewfest

For the 20th year in a row the Milwaukee Ale House will be closed on a cold February Sunday for their annual Midwinter Brewfest to benefit the Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer (MACC Fund). On February 19th the Third Ward staple will play host to over 30 local and national breweries and 800 craft beer lovers.
The beer tasting takes place throughout restaurant, main and lower bar and the garage. While a band plays in the main bar the UW Alumni band entertains guests in the garage.
Since 2005 this event has raised over $200 thousand dollars for the charity. “What’s unique about the Midwinter Brewfest is that one hundred percent of the proceeds go to benefit the MACC Fund. We have a lot of local partners that really help us pull off this event and make it so great.” says Milwaukee Ale House owner, Jim McCabe.
Usinger’s Sausage has been longtime sponsors of the brewfest providing fare for attendees. While Boelter Beverage donates the commemorative glass for sampling.
